finished. but can't show you the whole thing yet. Here's just a taster.This is the background for an animation.I made the characters too. Hopefully when its made I'll be able to post the animation here.can't wait to see it when it's done.

And now ... more sewing...birds,owls,egg cosies,russian dolls...fish,teatowels,tea cosies....etc etc.

Polaroid exhibition preview on Friday.excited.still have lots to organise.Looking forward to a day in Brighton taking photo's too!

Keeping my head above water

Its all coming together. My polaroids are framed (thankyou Max) and ready to go to Brighton for an exhibition starting 1st May (one month only) Unit B3 AOH.They look beautiful. Cyan / turquoise hues with dark chocolate frames.I'm not exhibiting to sell, although I will be selling prints.It's just nice to show stuff.

The animation is looking brilliant so far and i've just about finished the background quilt with bonkers trees.I have every faith in Greg that it will look amazing.

I have a long list of exciting stuff to design and make for Uneeka. Ideas are swimming around in my head. There will be some great tea-towels, fish, dolls....the list goes on.and thats exciting.

I spring cleaned the kitchen yesterday.And have bought miso soup because i'm embarking upon keeping healthy (no more crisps for dinner for me).wonder how long that will last.I did open up a massive packet of lemon grass prawn crackers whilst watching Desperate Housewives last night! 

One week by the sea has totally re-energized me.I feel strong and happy.

Easter Holiday

Cornwall was lovely.2 whole days on the beach! funny to think that only yesterday we had the whole beach to ourselves and now we're home to no hot water no heating (yes the boiler has broken for the 8th time in 12 months - and its only 3 years old).

Sometimes think life would be so much easier if we all lived in communes in wigwams with vegetable gardens...with showers and underfloor heating...

hello, again it's been a while...

I've been busy . Posted 20 more egg cosies to Uneeka yesterday. Still have a few to make for friends.Need to start thinking about new stock and want to upload some items to etsy / folksy.Have a list of stuff to do. Paperwork surrounds me. as does fabric (it was tidy for a day) I've started the collaboration work I'm doing with my BAFTA nominee friends The Brothers McLeod. So for 2 weeks its going to be all work no play.I hope to show you what i've been working on some day but at the moment its secret.

I just finished icing 50 cupcakes for O to take to school.And I need to take photos.Walking past the carwash today I realised that I miss my camera and I need to get out more.I've been asked to photograph a wedding in December...and speaking of wedding photography I just LOVE this mans photographic style. 

My best friend has arrived back in the Uk with her family  of 3 kids + a bump.She's been living in Oakland for the best part of 10 years.Can't wait to catch up with them all in Cornwall over Easter.

Also I realised today just how lucky I am. Life is good :) 

Blown Away

Jury service was hard. I started off loving it...I think I loved it until we had to reach a verdict...and then it was hard. I was angry that the police /crown prosecution service hadn't don't their job properly (and thats an understatement) and I was sad that one of the fellow jurors was racist, chauvenist and each time I would express an opinion he sniggerred.I was the youngest  member of the jury so I guess he thought he could get away with it...but I was the only one that questioned his usage of words like 'illegal immigrant' (we didn't know whether or not the defendant was legal or illegal but that was irrelevant to the trial in question, it had nothing to do with his immigration status)....aaarrrgggghhhhhhhhh...its over now and thats good but my children are growing up in a world full of people who think like this man and that scares me...

On a lighter note I am so busy... its wonderful.I am making new items for Uneeka and I'm exhibiting my photography in May in Brighton, I'm working on a project with The Brothers McLeod and most exciting of all i'm going to shoot fashion in Glasgow for a magazine and fellow polaroid enthusiast...sooo all good.

Last but not least I have to tell you I got breakfast in bed this morning,  some lovely Mothers Day cards and gifts and lots of kisses and cuddles. Ophelia even put 'to the best mummy in the world' on my card....funny! most days I'm told i'm the most evil... :)
